Conjunction Moon-Venus-Jupiter

Conjunction is a term used in positional astronomy (opens in a new tab) . It means that, as seen from some place (usually the Earth (opens in a new tab)), two celestial bodies appear near one another in the sky. The event is also sometimes known as an appulse (opens in a new tab).Here you can see Venus left of the Moon and Jupiter a little higher in the image.
